School Officials Following Through With Detentions for Students Who Walked Out

School administrators at a high school in Peterborough, New Hampshire warned students that a walkout to protest guns and gun violence would likely draw two-day detentions as punishment, and now they're following through.

Student leaders said school officials were clear beforehand that there would be punishments and offered an idea of what they would be.

ACLU Asks Greyhound To Say No To U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Searches

The Vermont chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union is one of 10 asking Greyhound to stop allowing federal immigration authorities to conduct searches on its buses unless they have a warrant.

An ACLU lawyer told the Rutland Herald that the civil-liberties group hopes the bus company will assert Fourth Amendment rights against searches and seizures.
