The traffic nightmare on the approaches to the Sagamore Bridge is over — at least for a while — now that all four lanes are open again.
For the past month the Sagamore, one of two automobile bridges that span the Cape Cod Canal, has been reduced to one lane in each direction. Backups getting off the Cape have frequently been two to three miles long, and backups getting onto the Cape have often been a mile or more.
The organization currently known as Boy Scouts of America plans to drop the word "Boy" from its name, as it prepares to accept girls starting this summer.
The new name will be "Scouts BSA," according to Boy Scouts of America officials.
