Rhode Island will receive about 150 Afghan refugees from the first round of resettlements — and Governor Dan McKee, a Democrat, supports the decision.
"We should embrace that. People who have helped our country in Afghanistan, we should make sure that we support them in their arrival to the United States," McKee said, according to WJAR.
