Rhode Island Governor Bans Guns From Public Schools and School Grounds

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo has issued an executive order banning firearms from public schools and school grounds throughout the state.

Only "visibly identified active law enforcement officers" will be allowed to carry guns on school grounds, according to the Fall River Herald News.

Notre Dame des Canadiens, a breathtaking church built in 1929 that was once home to many of Worcester's French-Canadians, is being demolished this week.

One Worcester resident told the Worcester Telegram & Gazette:  "I feel bad for the people who built it."
