Remembering the Blizzard of ’78
The Blizzard of '78 hit eastern Massachusetts on February 6, 1978 and lasted for a couple of days, dumping feet of snow and famously stranding thousands of drivers on Route 128 trying to make their way home from work.
The governor closed all roads for a week, and school in some places was called off for longer than that, as huge drifts of snow appeared everywhere.
