Red Sox Top Blue Jays On Play-At-The-Plate

The Boston Red Sox topped the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, July 1, on an outfield assist to the plate, 7-6.
The Red Sox were leading the Blue Jays 7-5 in the bottom of the ninth in Toronto. The Blue Jays had two men on second and first, with two outs, when a groundball base hit drove in one run to make the score 7-6. But Bo Bichette, the man on second, ran through a stop sign at third base to try to tie the game. Alex Verdugo, in right field, made the play and threw Bichette out to win the game.
