Epidemiologists who signed a declaration in western Massachusetts last year calling for reopening the economy in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic in an effort to achieve herd immunity say they have been harassed for offering solid scientific advice.
Members of the 13-person body that oversees Harvard University donated to Democrats over Republicans during the 2020 election cycle by a ratio of 136 to 1, according to an analysis performed by a student newspaper.
The entity is known as the Harvard Corporation. Its members in aggregate donated more than $899,000 to Democratic candidates for federal office in 2020 – as opposed to $6,600 to Republican candidates for federal office, according to The Harvard Crimson.
