Potted Tree No Longer Blocking Former Governor’s Portrait in State House

Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat, served as governor of New Hampshire from 1997 to 2003; she ran against John E. Sununu, a Republican, for U.S. Senate in 2002 and lost; and then she ran again against Sununu in 2008 and won. Former Senator Sununu is the brother of the current governor, Chris Sununu, also a Republican, whose office initially told an aide for Senator Shaheen that the potted tree blocking Shaheen's portrait in the New Hampshire State House had to remain right where it was; now it has been moved.
