Police: Couple Stole Clothes From Walmart for Woman’s Court Appearance

A couple caught stealing clothes from the Walmart in Wareham did it so the woman would have something to wear for an unrelated court appearance the next day, police said.

The man, 33, was charged with shoplifting, third offense. The woman, 25, was also charged with shoplifting, according to South Coast Today, the web site of The Standard Times of New Bedford.

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo has issued an executive order banning firearms from public schools and school grounds throughout the state.

Only "visibly identified active law enforcement officers" will be allowed to carry guns on school grounds, according to the Fall River Herald News.
