Faced with alarming teacher shortages, Virginia last month agreed to partner with a for-profit online teacher credentialing company, hoping to get more teachers into classrooms faster and without the higher tuition costs of traditional colleges and universities.
The federal government is set to spend $350 million toward replacing the two Cape Cod bridges that allow drivers to get across the Cape Cod Canal, through funding from the 2024 Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill.
Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren praised the plan in a press release.
