In January the Pittsfield School Committee voted to rename the holiday celebrated on the second Monday of October "Indigenous Peoples Day" instead of Columbus Day.
But the chairman said the committee will reconsider the vote after about 30 Italian-Americans showed up to argue against the decision at a committee meeting last week.
A woman about to walk her dog in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston changed her plans when she saw the severed head of a goat on her car, police said.
A picture of the woman was underneath the goat head. The woman got into her car and drive it to a Boston police station with the goat head still on the car, according to MassLive.com.
