Petraeus sticks to prior Benghazi testimony, Democrat says

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former CIA Director David Petraeus's testimony to the House Benghazi committee Wednesday was consistent with what he told congressional investigators more than two years ago when he debunked several conspiracy theories about the deadly attacks, according to a committee Democrat.

Petraeus spent four hours behind closed doors Wednesday answering questions from the GOP-led panel investigating the twin 2012 assaults in Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Baker distributes $700,000 for cities to buy overdose remedy

BOSTON – Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker and the state Department of Public Health on Wednesday announced plans to steer $700,000 in grants to Boston and 39 other Bay State communities hit hardest by the opioid drug crisis.

The money will be used to buy and administer naloxone, also known as Narcan, a medication that has been proven to treat heroin and other opioid overdoses. Opioids like fentanyl and oxycodone are highly addictive synthetic opiates.
