Peter Lucas: Pat Purcell Doing Just Fine; Herald, Not So Much

Patrick J. Purcell, the owner of The Boston Herald who is selling the newspaper after having it declare bankruptcy, is walking away with a mint in the form of the upscale development (which he owns a part of) on the site of the former Herald building in the South End of Boston, according to Lowell Sun columnist Peter Lucas. The situation isn't sitting well with Herald employees who expect to lose their jobs and their pensions when a new company takes over the paper.
