Pat Leahy: Maybe I Shouldn’t Have Called For Al Franken To Resign

U.S. Senator Pat Leahy (D-Vermont) originally said he'd wait for an Ethics Committee investigation of allegations of groping and other forms of sexual harassment against U.S. Senator Al Franken (D-Minneosta) before deciding whether Franken should  go. Then, on December 6, Leahy called on Franken to resign; now, after U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) called the forced resignation announcement "hypocritical," Leahy is back to his original opinion.

‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ Regales Small Children at Library

The event included two men in women's clothing and makeup reading stories and leading singalongs at a public library in Burlington, Vermont. One of the stories features a prince who finally finds happiness by marrying another prince; the idea of the event is to encourage "the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive and unabashedly queer role models."
