Number of Afghan Refugees Coming To Massachusetts More Than Twice The Initial Mark

Massachusetts was expected to receive about 900 refugees from Afghanistan in the aftermath of the 20-year war in the country that ended with the Taliban regaining control over it.

Now, however, that number has changed. By the end of next month, Massachusetts is expected to receive about 2,000 people to be settled in the state, according to The Daily Hampshire Gazette.
