No Need for Medicaid Recipients in Maine To Work, New Governor Says

Maine's new Democratic governor has decided to pull the state out of a program designed to make poor people who qualify for health insurance from the government through Medicaid to work 80 hours a month.

Governor Janet Mills reversed the course taken by former governor Paul LePage, a Republican, as she has much of the last few weeks since taking over, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Pro-carbon-tax Democratic presidential hopeful Jay Inslee has brought his message about climate change to New Hampshire, site of the first primary in the 2020 presidential race.

Inslee, 67, the second-term Democratic governor of Washington state, mentioned the term "climate change" 21 times during a 25-minute speech at the St. Anselm College in Goffstown on Tuesday, January 22, according to The Union Leader.
