No More Fluorescent Light Bulbs In Massachusetts?

Massachusetts legislators are considering a bill that would make it illegal to sell most fluorescent light bulbs in the state by 2025.

The bill, called "An Act Relative To Clean Lighting" (Massachusetts House Bill 777 and Massachusetts Senate Bill 538), is designed to reduce carbon emissions and the use of mercury in homes and businesses, according to supporters, including Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group, which put out a press release on the bill Tuesday, October 31.

People who oppose gun control measures must be voted out of office, U.S. Representative Katherine Clark (D-Revere) told an audience at Arlington High School.

"I think it really is that simple. We have to elect people who will move us forward," Clark told the audience Monday, October 30. "We have to change the players who are voting on these measures."
