Nikki Haley plans to do some heavy campaigning in the Granite State this week.

The Republican presidential candidate, who served as governor of South Carolina and later as the United States ambassador to the United Nations, has three campaign events scheduled for Thursday, September 21 in New Hampshire.

An Athol resident who launched a third-party U.S. Senate campaign earlier this year has died.

Lou Marino, 48, died Monday, September 11, according to his obituary. The obituary said that he died unexpectedly "after being stricken ill."
