New Hampshire Town Wants Property Taxes From Church
Peaceful Assembly Church in Grafton, New Hampshire hasn't made promised repairs to the 1798 church building and therefore should pay the town nearly $10,000 in property taxes, the town says.
Town officials say the church, which was damaged by a fire in 2016, appears to be abandoned. But a lawyer for the church says the church is still being used for religious activities, according to The Union Leader.
