New Hampshire Teen Said He Was ‘Going To Shoot Up School,’ Police Say

A 16-year-old boy who live in Hampton, New Hampshire turned himself into police after they sought him in connection with statements to friends that he was "going to shoot up" Seacoast School of Technology, a regional technical school in Exeter, New Hampshire.

The unidentified teen-ager has been charged with misdemeanor criminal threatening. The superintendent said a second student was "seriously involved in threatening behavior" that is related to the first student's threatening statements, according to The Union Leader.

Troubled Holyoke Asks State Auditor To Examine City Finances

The recent city auditor of Holyoke, Massachusetts resigned, saying in an email message he didn't want to deal with "all the nonsense" from the city treasurer and mayor and suggesting that the city should seek state receivership.

Remaining city officials dispute that suggestion, but Mayor Alex B. Morse welcomes intervention by the state auditor, in part because of a less-than-$10,000 wire transfer the city treasurer made to a scam artist eight months ago.
