A Democrat flipped a seat in the New Hampshire House of Representatives on Tuesday night.
Catherine Rombeau, a Democrat and former Bedford town council member, defeated Linda Rea Camarota, a Republican and Bedford school committee member, in a tight election. Rombeau got 50.4 percent of the vote and Camarota got 49.6 percent. The Democrat won by 37 votes, according to WMUR.
U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to be in Newton, Massachusetts on Thursday, September 9 for a fund raiser.
Pelosi is doing an outdoor event with U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss (D-Newton) for his leadership PAC, MA 4 Dems PAC. The fund raiser starts at 10:45 a.m. and is set to take place at 51 Hampshire Street in Newton. Attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend.
