National Rifle Association Silent On Second Maine District U.S. House Race

The National Rifle Association is staying out of the U.S. House race in the Second Maine district this year — for now, at least.

The NRA endorsed former Republican governor Paul LePage in his race against Janet Mills for governor, but didn't say who it favors in the state's Second Congressional District, as CentralMaine.com reports. Former U.S. Representative Bruce Poliquin, a Republican, has an A rating from the NRA, while incumbent U.S. Representative Jared Golden, a Democrat, has a B rating. The independent in the race, Tiffany Bond, does not have an NRA grade.
