Mother of Boy Sues School District Over Parking-Lot Encounter Suspension

The mother of a boy who engaged in a sexual encounter in the parking lot of a public high school is suing the school district for suspending her son.

The girl involved told school officials she was sexually assaulted after telling the boy to stop. The boy said the encounter was consensual. The district attorney's office declined to prosecute, saying it would be difficult to get a conviction in the case given the evidence, according to the Bangor Daily News.

A cruise ship marketed to homosexuals arrived at Provincetown Harbor on the northern tip of Cape Cod bearing sections of a rainbow flag that the late designer made for the 25th anniversary of the original flag.

Gilbert Baker (1951-2017) designed the first rainbow flag in San Francisco in 1978. It had eight colors, but two of them (hot pink and turquoise) proved difficult to mass-manufacture, so the most common version of the flag nowadays has only six colors.
