Missouri Man Inherits Connecticut Courthouse — ?

The state of Connecticut is closing a 19th century courthouse in the town of Litchfield and moving the court elsewhere. A lease agreement signed by the property owner in 1803 says that if the state stops using the property for a courthouse, the title reverts to the descendants of the property owner, so a 78-year-old man and the estates of his two deceased sisters will get the property.

Shack's Clothes was founded in 1928 in downtown Worcester. The current owner attributed the closing to tax assessments, though he noted that Worcester isn't doing well:  "I've been doing this for 47 years and have seen the city deteriorate, little by little."
