It's official: U.S. Representative Dean Phillips (D-Minnesota) is challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination for president.
Phillips will file to be put on the 2024 New Hampshire Democratic primary ballot Friday, October 27, the New Hampshire Secretary of State's office told CBS Minnesota.
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) reacted to the mass shooting that took place in Lewiston, Maine that left at 18 people dead by calling for more gun control.
"Another day in America, another horrific shooting," Sanders tweeted Thursday, October 26, a day after the shooting. "No one needs a military weapon designed to massacre people. We must ban assault weapons in the United States NOW."
