The New Hampshire Senate rejected a bill that would ban using Medicaid funds for sex-change surgeries.
The 24-member body deadlocked 12-12, with two Republicans joining all the Democrats, according to The Union Leader. The tie means the bill failed, and that the state will continue to offer so-called gender reassignment sur.
U.S. Senator Jeff Flake called for a primary challenger for President Donald Trump in 2020 during an appearance at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, New Hampshire.
Flake, a Republican from Arizona, left the door open for himself, though he said he thinks it's unlikely.
