Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is traveling to Ireland next week.

Healey will meet with the taoiseach (or prime minister), Leo Varadkar;  foreign affairs minister Tánaiste Micheál Martin, Senate chairman Cathaoirleach Jerry Buttimer, and the Irish parliament's LGBTQI+ caucus.

Juneteenth will be a state holiday in Rhode Island next year.

Governor Dan McKee, a Democrat, signed a bill (S.444) into law on Monday making Juneteenth a state holiday beginning next year.
