Abortions increased by 2.1 percent in 2021 over the previous year, newly obtained figures show.
NewBostonPost filed a public records request with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to see how many abortions took place in the Commonwealth in 2021. While there were 16,452 abortions in the Commonwealth in 2020, that figure increased to 16,795 in 2021.
A new poll shows that it's possible. In the state's Second Congressional District, former Cranston mayor Allan Fung, a Republican, leads his Democratic opponent, according to a 12 News/Roger Williams University poll.
