Massachusetts Residents Conflicted On Removing Parental and Judicial Consent For Abortions

If enacted, the proposed abortion amendment on the state budget bill would eliminate the current requirement in state law for a 16-year-old or 17-year-old girl seeking an abortion in Massachusetts to get the consent of a parent or a judge. How do Bay Staters feel about that?
A recent Suffolk/Boston Globe poll found that 48.2 percent of Bay Staters support the measure while 40.4 percent oppose. Additionally, 9 percent say they were undecided and 2.4 percent refused to answer the question.
