Massachusetts now has a population of more than seven million people.
The 2020 U.S. Census counted a total of 7,029,917 residents in the state as of April 1, 2020, according to WCVB. That's a 7.4 percent increase over the 6,547,629 residents the state had in the 2010 U.S. Census.
