The state commission that studies problems that homosexuals and transgender people encounter while aging would like to change its name to be more inclusive, but the process is harder than members were initially hoping.
"The opinion came back that it would actually take an act of legislation to change the name," said Joe Russo, an aide to state Representative Thomas Stanley (D-Waltham), who is a member of the state body currently commonly known as the Massachusetts LGBT Aging Commission. "LGBT" stands for "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender."
U.S. Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) is going to the Granite State in the near future.
She pans to speak at the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications' First Amendment Awards on Tuesday, November 9 at Saint Anselm College's Institute of Politics, according to The Associated Press.
