Governor Maura Healey's office has announced it is re-opening certain unspecified state contracts in hopes of increasing the diversity of vendors based on race and sexual orientation, among other things.
"Our administration applies an equity lens to everything we do – and that includes the process to award state contracts. We're proud to be taking this step to reopen contracts that can provide more opportunities for diverse and smallbusinesses to compete," Healey said Monday, according to a press release from the governor's office.
Former President Donald Trump plans to be in the Granite State this weekend ahead of New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary.
Fresh off a victory at the Iowa Caucuses, Trump plans to hold a rally at SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday, January 20, according to his campaign web site. The doors are scheduled to open at 2 p.m., and his speech is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. — though Trump typically starts speaking after the scheduled start time.
