Massachusetts state Representative Jamie Zahlaway Belsito (D-Topsfield) is no fan of the State of Israel; she recently accused the government of Israel of committing genocide against the Palestinian people.
"The US must acknowledge that the @Israel administration is an apartheid run thuggery terrorist regime on a mission to kill Palestinians," she tweeted on December 30, 2022. "Killing and land taking has nothing to do with anti-semitism. It is genocide."
A bill designed to improve safety for bicyclists and pedestrians by adding certain requirements for motor vehicle drivers in Massachusetts is on Governor Charlie Baker's desk.
Both chambers of the state legislature approved the bill late last month during so-called "informal sessions," during which any member could have scuttled it by objecting.
