A bill that would help adults 22 and older get a high school diploma has been referred to the Joint Committee on Education of the Massachusetts Legislature.
The bill would provide funds for public agencies, non-profit organizations, or other entities to provide job training and skills toward a high school diploma if a putative student hasn't already earned one.
Lawns signs saying "Protect The 2nd Amendment" are appearing in various places in Massachusetts, expressing opposition to a bill that one opponent says could ban more than a million guns in the state.
The bill is known as HD. 4420 ("An Act Modernizing Firearm Laws").
