Most Democrats don't want President Joe Biden, who is 79 years old, to seek a second term, according to a Yahoo/You Gov poll released this month. The poll found that most Americans oppose both former President Donald Trump (59 percent) and current president Joe Biden (57 percent) running for president in 2024.

The reason for that: the new district includes only portions of the city of Brockton. It will no longer include parts of the neighboring towns of East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater.
