A mall in western Massachusetts that once housed a Sears and a Macy's is slated for indoor marijuana growing.
A lawyer who describes himself as a "a pretty risk-averse guy by nature" is leading the venture to turn the former Berkshire Mall in Lanesborough into what he is calling an indoor cannabis farm, according to The Berkshire Eagle.
A social worker running for sheriff of Essex County says the job is not about law enforcement but rather about rehabilitation.
"The job of the sheriff is to be the chief rehabilitation officer in the county," said Virginia Leigh, of Lynn, a licensed clinical social worker, during a debate Thursday, July 28, according to The Salem News.
