Malcolm X's adolescent home in Roxbury has been added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Massachusetts Secretary of State, William Galvin, made the announcement of the designation, The Salem News reported Thursday, March 4.

Organizers of the city of Holyoke's typically annual St. Patrick's Day Parade gathered to raise the flag of the Republic of Ireland at a memorial to President John F. Kennedy on Saturday.

"In years past," reports MassLive.com, "the ceremony would have meant the start [of] a month of road races and parties and of course the famous parade. Not this year thanks to the continuing COVID pandemic."
