Mainstream Newspaper Reader Triggered By Conservative Column

An apparently faithful reader of the Providence Journal was upset by the appearance of an anti-impeachment column during the vacation of the newspaper's editorial pages editor.

The column by Jay Ambrose of Tribune News Service, which was published in the Providence Journal on Sunday, November 3, addresses the attempt by Democrats to impeach President Donald Trump for his half-hour telephone conversation with the president of Ukraine on July 25 during which Trump discussed a stalled investigation in that country of former vice president Joe Biden's son. No More Fines for Overdue Library Books for Youths in Boston

Youth library card holders will no longer have to pay fines to Boston public libraries for overdue books starting Friday, November 1, the mayor's office has announced.

"Youth card holders will not face monetary penalties for returning books late, although they will still be required to return any overdue books in order to check out additional materials. While youth card holders will no longer incur fines for late returns, they will still be responsible for replacement costs if a book is lost or not returned," Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's press office said in a written statement.
