Maine Governor Vetoes Pro-Solar-Subsidy Bill

Maine Governor Paul LePage, a Republican, said elderly people have the hardest time paying more money for electricity in order to provide government subsidies to solar-energy providers. Veto-proof majorities supported the measure in both houses of the Maine legislature, but it's not clear if those two-thirds margins will hold up on the final vote.
