If New Hampshire's Republican governor were to run for U.S. Senate and the election were held this week, he would have the advantage over the incumbent.
In a hypothetical matchup between governor Chris Sununu and incumbent Democratic Senator Maggie Hassan, Sununu has a point lead, according to a recent poll from the Saint Anselm College Survey Center. It showed Sununu with 47 percent support, Hassan with 41 percent support, and 12 percent either undecided or voting third party. The poll was conducted between March 4 through March 6 and has a 3.3 percent margin of error.
