An apparent lightning strike set a tree at Clearview Country Club in Millbury on fire from within.

The Millbury Fire Department posted photos of the tree on its Facebook page after arriving on the scene at 4:43 a.m. Sunday, May 26.

A high school prom in Connecticut ended not with a whimper but with a bang when someone sprayed an irritant into the air that sent dancers fleeing and three students to the hospital.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, during the Stonington High School prom in Groton, Connecticut, according to The Day of New London.
