Lawyer Accuses State Trooper of Racial Profiling in Traffic Stop of 14 Illegal Aliens

A Maine state trooper stopped a large white van with a cracked windshield on Route I-295 in Portland on September 9, and when he suspected that the driver and the 13 other men inside were illegal aliens, he contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. A lawyer for the driver, a 22-year-old man from Honduras who had previously been deported from the United States and is in the country illegally now, is accusing the trooper of racial profiling.
