Keep Indian Mascot, But Involve Indian Tribes in Design, Supporter Says

School officials who run Turners Falls High School in north central Massachusetts are thinking about ditching the schools' Indian mascot, but a supporter suggests altering the design so that it's accurate and respectful, and consulting with Indian tribes in Vermont and Lowell, Massachusetts to do it. Voters in one of the two towns in the district, Montague, in May backed the Indian mascot.
