As anyone who has ever seen her perform knows, Kathy Griffin has a diseased mind. So that helps explain why she posted on the Internet a photo of herself holding a representation of a bloody severed head of President Donald Trump.

Sydney Chaffee, who lives in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and teaches ninth grade at a charter school in Dorchester, was recently named 2017 Teacher of the Year. But delegates to the convention of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the major teachers union in the state, voted not to congratulate her earlier this month, because Chaffee, like many charter school teachers, is not a member of the union.
