Kanye West is not on the ballot in Connecticut in the 2020 general election, but he took a step recently to ensure that his votes will count there.
West registered with the state as a write-in candidate, notifying state officials of his presidential bid, according to The San Francisco Chronicle. If a write-in candidate does not alert the state ahead of time then typically, that candidate's vote total will not be counted.
Bill Weld made an announcement about who he voted for on Twitter.
The Republican and former governor of Massachusetts said that he voted for former vice president Joe Biden in an effort to stop President Donald Trump from winning a second term.
