Kamala Harris Praises Australia-Style Gun Control While Using Mass-Shooting In Maine As Object Lesson

U.S. vice president Kamala Harris praised Australia's sweeping gun control laws while lamenting a mass shooting in Maine on Wednesday night that left 18 dead and 13 injured.

"Gun violence has terrorized and traumatized so many of our communities in this country.  And let us be clear. It does not have to be this way. As our friends in Australia have demonstrated," Harris said Thursday.
