Think the elderly should be first in line for the coronavirus vaccine? That's not how it's working out in the Ocean State.
In Rhode Island, as of Monday this week, there had been 51,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered. However, the large majority of that went to younger populations. To be exact, just 25 percent had gone to people ages 60 and over. Additionally, those who are ages 19 to 59 had received 74 percent of the state's vaccines, as WPRI reports.
