The President of the United States plans to be in New England on Friday, October 15.
Although the White House is not giving away much detail on the matter, President Joe Biden is scheduled to be in the state for a couple of reasons. He is supposed to come to Hartford, Connecticut to promote his so-called Build Back Better Agenda and to "highlight the importance of investing in child care to keep costs down for working families," a White House spokesman told WFSB.
The first Boston mayoral election poll is out — and it's not good for at-large city councilor Annissa Essaibi George.
She trails fellow at-large city councilor Michelle Wu 57 percent to 25 percent in the poll released by WBUR on Wednesday. That's a 32-point lead for Wu, generally considered the more progressive candiddate in the race. The poll's margin of error is 4.9 percent.
