Is Australia A Country?  Professor Fired Over Dispute

"Australia is a continent; not a country," an adjunct professor at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester wrote in justifying a failing grade for an online student in Idaho who submitted a project comparing social media use in the United States and Australia. The student then submitted "convincing" evidence that Australia is in fact a country, as well as a continent, according to The Union Leader; she ended up getting a B+ — but the adjunct professor now has more time to study geography.
