Iranian president bids for US investment

ROME (AP) — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani invited American businessmen to join their European counterparts in investing in Iran as he wrapped up three days of multi-billion dollar deal-making in Italy by saying the lifting of European sanctions had opened a new era of "win-win" collaboration.

Rouhani heads next to Paris, where his originally scheduled visit was called off after the Nov. 13 attacks.

Marvin Minsky, pioneer of artificial intelligence at MIT, dies

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Marvin Minsky, a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who saw parallels in the functioning of the human brain and computers, died Sunday at age 88.

The university said Minsky died Sunday at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. The cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage.
